Appointment of Management Committee
34. (1) Members of the management committee including the chairman, secretary or treasurer may be appointed or removed from office by any general meeting of the party or branch.
(2) There is no appeal by a member of the management committee against being removed from office, except in accordance with Part 7 if there was some procedural irregularity in the meeting.
(3) In the absence of a resolution by an annual general meeting to hold an election, the annual general meeting shall be taken to have elected the incumbent members of the management committee for a further year.
(4) If there is a casual vacancy in the management committee of a party or branch, the management committee may by resolution appoint a member of the party or branch as the case may be to fill the vacancy until the next annual general meeting.
